Vaughan's bar has been in the family for more than 200 years.
The business has been built on strong local traditions of irish music and hospitality; locals and visitors alike descend in numbers to take part in their regular set dancing sessions.
The pub is homely, with 2 open fires in the bar and a garden set up with tables at the back. Traditional Irish menus are served all day (seafood chowder, bacon & cabbage, beef & Guinness stew) and are based on local ingredients.
With its cut-stone walls and old-style interior, the barn provides a congenial setting for our set-dancing, musical entertainment, bbq's, private parties and weddings.
With a spacious car park at the back, our pub is ideal for large groups, we offer facilities for brunch, lunch, or dinner;
On the left, The Barn is used for the set dancing every thursdays (10PM) and sundays (9PM) all year round and for parties and weddings;
On the right, The Hostel is the ideal place to stay in the burren. With a capacity up to 46 people, Vaughan's Pub is the ideal place to organise a party;

What a place!
Seafood, tradtional food and local produce feature on the appealing menu. The pub has a big reputation in Irish music circles. There's music in the bar every night during the summer and on many nights the rest of the year. The adjacent barn is the scene of terrific set dancing sessions on Thurdsay (10pm) and Sunday (9pm) nights. Enjoy the beer garden under the bitg tree out front.

Vaughan's: Clare is one of the last strongholds of traditional dancing in Ireland and the converted barn of this homely pub provides an atmospheric venue to see the set dancers in action on Thursday and Saturday nights (and join in if you wish). The cosy pub itself has its own Irish music session on Tuesdays.

Kilfenora is a small friendly village in north Clare and is the gateway to The Burren, at only 45mns drive from Shannon airport, we recommand it as a place to stay.
The Burren Center, located in the village is a good starting point for exploring the Burren, there are many beautiful walking and cycling routes in the area. The place is known to be the City of the 7 Crosses which 3 remains today around St. Fachtna Cathedral (12th. century).
Kilfenora is perhaps most famous for the Kilfenora Ceili Band; a musical tradition which is carried on by the young people. Individual members can be heard playing at local pub session.
